Two dead as Bengali groups clash
Two Bengali groups clashed in Zaman Town area on Tuesday, in which Fareed and Bilal belonging to Bengal Action Committee (BAC) were killed.
Police sources said that it was Tuesday afternoon when accused Jalal belong to Sheraay Bengal Group along with his companions came to Sector-48A, Korangi and started disputing with Fareed and Bilal of BAC group.
During their hot conversation Jalal and his men took out arms and had opened indiscriminate fire due to which Fareed and Bilal died on the spot. In the meantime, the residents and supporters of deceased persons came and caught accused Jalal along with his two companions Abdul Hakim and Lal Mohammed and started beating them. A police team of Zaman Town police station and taken into custody the accused persons with murder weapon. During investigation it was found that both the group had disputed on the rally day and today Jalal came to kill Fareed over that issue.
In yet another case, a dacoit Ali Hassan was shot dead by a truck driver in Memon Goth police limits. Police said that Imtiaz Ali, a truck driver, was going to Sohrab Goth with some consignment, when two armed bandits tried to loot him. At this, Imtiaz put up resistance and killed Ali Hassan.
Mishaps: M Rayaz, 20 and M Ayoub, 27, were killed while Qasim, Shakeel, Ahmed Raza and an unidentified, 37-year old woman were injured, when a speeding Abdullah Coach lost control and turned over at in the Maripur police limits.
Babu Lal, 40, died while Mujeebullah, 40, Rafeeq, 45, Zakir, 40 and Mahmood, 45, fell unconscious in an underground water tank in the Mehmoodabad police area.
Abdul Razaq, 36, died at his residence situated in Habib Square in Shah Waliullah Road in the Baghdadi police jurisdiction after consuming poisonous food. Body of Yar Muhammad, 36, was found at the Hawkesbay Beach in the Maripur police limits.
