The body of a Pakistan Steel Mills Accounts Department Manager was found from Awami Colony police limits. The brother of deceased pointed the finger of suspicion at the deceased’s wife and her brother.
The body Mohammed Ajmal, 50, was found from Awami Colony police limits. Sub Inspector (SI) Raza of Awami Colony said that on Sunday morning, information was received that a man’s dead body was lying near Bagh-i-Korangi. A patrolling mobile immediately rushed towards the place and shifted the body to the hospital.
The deceased was identified as Mohammed Ajmal, Deputy Manager of PSM Accounts Department, and a resident of house No 14/26, Main Bazaar, Shah Faisal Colony. Doctors said that they did not see any marks of torture on the deceased’s body or any sign of strangulation, but they had taken some blood samples for chemical examination, to check if he was killed by poisoning.
He added that Mohammed Ehsan, deceased younger brother visited the hospital and claimed and in his statement to the police stated that his brother married Shagufta a few years back but due to some problems from his in-laws side, Ajmal had left his own house and shifted to Shah Faisal Colony
Ehsan added that, from the past few days his deceased brother was mentally disturbed and told him through call that his brothers-in-law were giving him death threats.
SI Raza said that, Ehsaan suspected that Ajmal’s wife Shagufta, and her brothers Shakeel and Takzeel killed his brother by feeding him some poisonous substance In this regard, police have lodged an FIR of murder and nominated the above-noted persons. He added that no arrest had been made in the case yet, as they were waiting for medical report from the Medico-Legal Officer of the JPMC which would confirm the cause of death.
