SHCBA to observe protest day tomorrow
Sindh High Court Bar Association has decided to observe protest day on January 28 against un-necessary delay in the appointment of Lahore and Sindh high courts judges and non-implementation of Supreme Court’s judgment on National Reconciliation Ordinance.
The SHCBA, however, was of the considered view that in the matter of elevation to the Supreme Court, the principle of seniority should be strictly followed and the act of “pick and choose” in the matter of elevation of judges would create doubt amongst the nation. The SHCBA managing committee also endorsed the declaration and strike call given by National Lawyers Coordination Council. It was of the view that the decision of Supreme Court declaring the NRO as void and the judgment should be implemented at all cost with sincerely.
